PAPER MACHE BOWL | Sheila Deguiñon
PAPER MACHE
BOWL
I was happy to when I hear my teacher announced that we will
have an activity about the crafts of Luzon and I was very excited when she discuss what to do. At first, I choose the soap carving cause I thought it was very
satisfying and easy but then I heard my one classmate that soap carving is not
easy and she's not satisfied with her output soo I changed my mind and choose the paper mache bowl. At first, it was a fail but I never give up so I try again and
it worked and I was having fun and proud of my output.
In the first video clip, you'll see me cutting used
papers into trips and make it boxes. You can also use magazines newspapers and any paper that can be recycled. BE
CAREFUL USING THE SCISSORS!
In the second clip is me making the paper mache paste. It's simple to make and it has only two ingredients there is glue, and water and you can put glue as many as you like. Then I mix it well until it will be a little sticky.
In the third clip, you'll see me making the paper mache
bowl. You will need your used paper boxes, paper mache paste, cling wrap,
vaseline, and bowl. Here's the step on how I did it:
1. I cover my bowl with the cling wrap.
2. I put some vaseline in the cling wrap so that the paper
mache will not stick.
3. I cover the bowl with the cut papers and put some paper
mache paste.
4. I removed the excess that it makes it haggard.
5. When I was done pasting the cut papers. I let it
dry in the sunlight cause it's faster.
The fourth clip is I was removing the paper machine bowl
from the bowl, I was satisfying. Then I painted it white so that the printed
letters from the used paper I cut. And I let it dry for a second.
In the fifth clip, I painted my paper mache bowl sky blue and
a little design. I was kinda nervous cause I'm not sure about my painting but
I'll go with the flow soo I tried my best to paint my paper mache bowl.
My output is not that pretty but I'm very happy and proud of
myself. It was failed at first but, I know that I can do it. And now Here's my
final output.
